Tribute to MJ

I've been a fan of MJ since my mom took me and my sisters, Jodi and Lori, to his Thriller/Jackson Victory Tour at Dodger Stadium in 1984. I found a picture of the actual Dodger Stadium concert-- I think I can see my mom crowd surfing in there!



And I've been protective of him ever since. Just ask Dave...who has a whole stand up routine; or Hayden....who was telling me yesterday that he looked like a girl and I got SO mad at her! He's hands down my favorite male singer and I'm so bummed that I didn't get to see him again in concert :( . In honor of his death, we went to NickelCity on Thursday and all played Dance Dance Revolution-- here's a picture of Carmen getting down!

Daddy's dates

In my un-ending list of why I love Dave so much is that he is an incredible father. One of the cool things that he does to make sure that he spends quality time with each one of the kids is that he rotates through them, taking each one on a date on a weekend night each month. The past few weeks he took Hayden ice skating, Anamarie to the movies, and this afternoon he took Alex on an hour-long ride on the Coaster train to Solana beach, had dinner at Pizza Port, and came back on the train. Alex had SO much fun on the train I'm sure he'll be talking about it for a long time! We love you Dave!

Alex can't hold his rootbeer... :)
